I wanted to cheer for the hero's epic, not for the Japan Empire War glory Propaganda.

Hello, everyone. I'm Tinogeb, who loved Horikoshi's work. I'm Korean and I've been rooting for his work for nearly four years reading his cartoons. And I'm going to talk today about why I decided not to watch this cartoon anymore, and not just me but also the entire Korean and
Chinese fandom decided not to support it anymore.
As you may have guessed, the beginning of this is Maruta. I'm sure many of you are aware of this situation because Korean fandom have been outraged on Twitter.

Maybe you think all this is a terrible coincidence from Horikoshi's ignorance. Of course, I only assumed at first that Horikoshi was simply ignorant of his own history without any political intentions. This idea is particularly reasonable considering that the majority of Japanese
know very little about their history just 75 years ago due to the Japanese government's history education policy. On the contrary, South Korea and China receive accurate education on Japanese aggression and colonial rule.

Both countries include tragic history and timelines in basic education courses. That is why, paradoxically, only Japanese of the three Northeast Asian countries are ignorant of the history of invading and massacring the other two.
#私達は謝りだけが欲しい
That's why I first felt a serious offense when Horikoshi used the word Maruta, but I thought it was just a mistake he made because he didn't know his country's history well.

Until someone points out the implications of Ground Zero(爆心地 ) and Shiga Maruta (志賀(Shiga) 丸太(Maruta))
I think we need a little explanation from here.
Perhaps you know that China and Korea were invaded by Japan during World War II and that pretty terrible things happened in the process.
You may think it's not necessarily bad to be a colony, but there's one thing you must know.
Japanese colonial rule was a very different condition than when Britain and European countries colonized. That is the fact that Japan was at war against the United States and Russia. Some naive people may think that Korea and China got quite a bit from colonial rule,
but the opposite is true. All the resources of Korea had to be dedicated to the victory of the great Japanese Empire. They left Koreans with only enough grain to not starve to death and also they cut down trees on the whole mountain.
Considering the fact that most trees in Korean are not even 70 years old, you will understand how many logs Japan took.

Yes.

Many logs were used for the victory of the Japanese Empire.

The log. (Maruta, 丸太)

#Hero_do_not_harm_innocent_people
If you are Japanese or a non-Northeast Asian who is just learning Japanese, you will use this word literally mean it as a well-cut log.
But 75 years ago, the Japanese Empire used #Maruta in TWO meanings. Funny thing is that Koreans and Chinese today remember the second meaning
very accurately, but the Japanese people forgot it because of the Japanese government's history education policy.
#Hero_do_not_harm_innocent_people
Another meaning of logs in Japanese.
It's human.
A human body for biological warfare experiments.
#私達は謝りだけが欲しい
The Japanese Empire not only took the real logs but also ✌️humans logs✌️ too.
The over ten thousand Chinese and Koreans used in the biological experiments of the Japanese Empire. (Mongolians, Russian prisoners of war, and American prisoners of war also called logs too.)
Scientists from Unit 731, which was founded by the Japanese Empire during WW2, began studying biological terrorism to win the war against the United States. Human logs were experimental materials for Unit 731.

And... You may have heard of Shiga toxin. It is a toxin produced by Enterohemorrhagic E coli. It was Shiga Kiyoshi(志賀 潔) who found this toxin. So, after his name, Shiga toxin also called Shigella. Take a note of his name carefully.

Shiga.
志賀.
Shigella has a high fatality rate and is highly contagious. It causing bleeding in the human gut. Shiga toxin is one of the ideas that the Japanese Empire considered as an idea to win the war against the United States. So the Japanese Empire did a biological experiment
in Unit 731 to use Shiga toxin as a biological weapon.

[Shiga toxin is just one of the ideas of many Japanese empires. Enter the link below and you'll find various criminal charges in Unit 731.

If you're curious about the use of more diverse human logs, search Google for ‘Maruta’, ‘Unit 731’ later. But now
note Shiga toxin and its discoverer's name.]

The Japanese Empire surrendered in 1945 when the U.S. dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan so using human logs in biological warfare also ended.
It was a tragic day when hundreds of thousands of innocent Japanese citizens, not soldiers of the Japanese Empire, were killed, and, Ironically, millions of Koreans and Chinese regained their freedom from brutal rule and exploitation.
Well, this is the most basic historical common sense that both Koreans and Chinese have learned since childhood. I hope you weren't bored.
This next story is about some Japanese people criticizing Horikoshi told our Korean fandom.
#私達は謝りだけが欲しい
As we know Ground Zero(爆心地) was hori's first concept hero name of Bakugo Katsuki.
The word was first used under the Manhattan Plan and the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombs.
Ground Zero '爆心地' is a word that symbolizes the history of Hiroshima in Japan and is also
a reminder that war should never be fought again.
But now, We must remember that Horikoshi said in an interview that he attaches great significance to the character's name.
Shiga(志賀) was named after the first discovery of dysentery.

Exactly the Same Characters used.
Human logs(Maruta, 丸太) were also used, the name for Koreans and Chinese who were forced to eat dysentery to study the lethal rate of dysentery.

Again, Exactly the Same Characters used.
This doesn't mean anything? Horikoshi said in an interview that every character he created was given a name that matches its characteristics.
So that's it.
We, readers should cheer for the main characters Deku and Ground Zero(爆心地), to defeat Shiga Maruta (志賀(Shiga) 丸太(Maruta))
Great, Horikoshi.
Well done. I'm really sick of it.
Listen. Northeast Asia is still in a very complicated and close political situation. In particular, North and South Korea have had a breathtaking time whether the war will break out or not, depending on the political position and foreign policy of the neighboring countries.
For this reason, the Korean and Chinese governments have constantly pointed out Japan's view of history. The majority of the Japanese people do not know what Japan has done in the past during the war, and certain political groups in Japan continue to insist that the history of
its aggression was a legitimate act. If you are not a Northeast Asian, you may not understand that Rising Sun Flag, which often appears in Japanese comics, is constantly criticized. Rising Sun Flag, which frequently appears in Japanese comics, can seem like a symbol of simple
Orientalism for those who do not know about this history.
However, the Rising Sun Flag was a symbol of the Japanese Empire's war activities 75 years ago. In other words, for a quarter of the world's population, it means to slaughter and tragedy.
The use of the symbol in Japan now is those who miss the glorious history of the Japanese Empire in the past. Essentially, it puts the mood of Northeast Asian countries on edge.
Koreans are keenly tactile and watchful of the political positions of neighboring countries. If a war breaks out in Northeast Asia, the battlefield is likely to be the place facing North Korea and South Korea. (It's only an hour's drive from my home town. Thank you very much.)
Chinese, Koreans are wary of Propaganda, which could be a sign of war. Above all, the Japanese Media’s justification for its past history of aggression is very suspicious and frightening to us. For this reason, over the past few days on Twitter, the Korean fandom has demanded
Horikoshi explain that Shiga Martua’s name did not have the intention of Propaganda.
Already too much evidence was significant, but at least the fandom was eager to see that we did not sympathize with the propaganda.
But Horikoshi just said he didn't name it with unpleasant intentions. But he's not saying at all what the hell he's been thinking about using explicit characters out of all those names.

This is why, as soon as it is revealed, China bans the airing of MHA animations in just one day and Koreans fandom demand the author to admit directly that it is not related to Propaganda.
Also, there is a movement in Korea against the import of MHA animation and cartoons.
Still, can't you understand whether Koreans and Chinese felt shocked and frightened when a Japanese writer named Shiga Maruta (志賀(Shiga) 丸太(Maruta)) by the name of a Villain that Japanese characters should defeat?
#Hero_do_not_harm_innocent_people
👆This is it.
I've been rooting for three or four years for the heroes of this cartoon to overcome their own limitations and grow up. All MHA fandom in this world has been rooting for the Heroes and it was really an amazing experience. I am really grateful for that.
But as a human being who strongly believes that the tragedy of 75 years ago should not be repeated anywhere, I can no longer support the MHA's epic.
And this is why our Korean fandom has decided not to support MHA anymore.
Thank you for reading it.

Is this simply caused by conspiracy theories and misunderstanding?
