2 Business Lessons you should learn from this Successful millionaire bank robber.

He was a prolific thief and stole millions of dollars during his 'successful career' as a bank robber.

Willie Sutton stole over $2million during his forty year career in the early 90s,
That is roughly $21 million in today's valuation.

Slick Willie, as he was popularly called, was arrested several times and he always managed to break out of the prison.

In one really smart incidence, he and several other inmates, dressed as prison guards and carried a ladder
to the prison walls to scale it after dark.

While trying to climb the wall, the prison searchlight beamed on him and in a clever move, he screamed and said 'it's all right. All clear!'

As if to say he was checking to see that nothing was amiss.

He escaped.
Willie was that smart, but what are the business lessons you can learn from his adventurous life?

1. Effective Marketing is not negotiable if you must make money.

When Willie was asked why he robbed banks, he replied with 'because that's where the money is.'
Many businesses make the mistake of focusing on aesthetics and branding that they forget the main thing that keeps a business going- money.

You must always think of where the money is and how to get and the vehicle to get that done is marketing.
A 10% improvement in your marketing systems and strategy can bring exponential results and have money pouring into your business.

Face it, even if you start a business because you love it, at the end of the day, money is a motivator.

Go where the money is and get it.
2. Copywriting is and will always be a weapon.

Willie was known to rob banks with guns and when asked why, he promptly said 'you can't rob a bank on charm and personality.'

And it is true.

You can't walk into a bank to rob and your strategy is to smile and get the cashier to
Give you the money. You need yo have a weapon that will be a call to action in itself.

For Willie, it was his gun.

for your business, it is copywriting.

It is the weapon that will leave your prospects throwing their money at you and getting worried if you don't take it.
Implement these two lessons in your business and observe what happens in one month.

You will have turnaround story.

And oh, it will interest you to know that after being caught and escaping several times, Willie began consulting for banks and even running ads for them.
Safe to say Willie was a marketing genius lost to the dare-devil world of bank robbery.
