I was just reading a book called "Swayed" -- great book btw -- and now I understand why business jargon is so maddening. It is the art of making concepts so vague as to be unobjectionable to everyone.
So they zoom way out and use words and metaphors that mean juuust shy of nothing, ones nobody can possibly disagree with. Except if nobody can disagree, you haven't said *shit*.
"How would you solve this thorny issue?"
"I would make sure all stakeholders were aligned and the process communicated"
"Ok but HOW"
😳 "How about a story? of a specific time you solved this?"
"Sure, I brought everyone to the table and communicated our needs cross functionally"
😮 oh ok.. cool.. 🥵
