Super contradictory (but AWESOME) WHO press conference about China’s changing case definition of #COVID19. There is a weird spin by that staff member. But Dr Tedros immediately then *amazingly* contradicts his staff and says “including mild asymptomatic cases is a good idea”!!!😂
2) For context what this is about: 2 days ago China seems to have changed the case definition by dropping lab positive #COVID19 tests if they have no symptoms (lowers case count). WHO was caught off guard, and responded today, but Tedros then contradicted!
3) To be fair to Tedros, he did the right thing, and he told us how he really feels about the China case definition (which tightened it), while Tedros advocated for more asymptomatic cases to be included. He contradicted China indirectly—and thus, I thank Tedros for his honesty!
