me: how do i get warren supporters to understand that 'moderate' and 'pragmatic' plans will get opposed in office just as much as far more left ideas

i think for a lot of people in warren's camp, perhaps even warren herself, a lot of this is learning that sanders supporters weren't kidding or exaggerating about how much the establishment hates any kind of leftward progress at all

you'd think warren would've learned to be a bit more cynical and skeptical of other dems after clashing with obama, but her political instincts have tended towards the terrible and the "entirely too much good faith"

anyway even with this primary i find it hard to imagine a sanders presidency without warren as an ally

but i find it easy to imagine a warren presidency where she's surrounded herself with enough of the machine that absolutely won't allow anyone like sanders to have influence

if not about sanders, you can extend it elsewhere

it's very, very hard to imagine the machine getting any less shitty towards AOC and tlaib and the like with warren in office if she's acting from a position of "unity" and not of leverage and strength
