As someone who thoroughly documented the Bro meltdown and vitriol that happened after Bernie lost on Super Tuesday ‘16, the 1st mistake people make when the primary hits the South is assuming that the D electorate will be the same % White as it is in states outside of the South.
This assumption also relies on ignorance about the Southern Strategy and the race based realignment of the political parties after the Civil Rights Act, so it fails to acknowledge how rare White Democrats in the South even are compared to their White Republican peers.
