The MSM won’t provide this pertinent information until the last minute, so from this point forward in the primary when you envision the Democratic South, see it through this lens. The demographic makeup of the party doesn’t look the same in every state, neither will the outcomes.
As someone who thoroughly documented the Bro meltdown and vitriol that happened after Bernie lost on Super Tuesday ‘16, the 1st mistake people make when the primary hits the South is assuming that the D electorate will be the same % White as it is in states outside of the South.
This assumption also relies on ignorance about the Southern Strategy and the race based realignment of the political parties after the Civil Rights Act, so it fails to acknowledge how rare White Democrats in the South even are compared to their White Republican peers.

These folks’ hearts will be broken and they don’t even see it coming. Bless.
This is a consequence of certain voters placing the expressed concerns of Black and other marginalized voters lowest on their list of priorities for the duration of this primary but still expecting us to magically coalesce behind their fave for reasons that aren’t our own.
