4. This is a bigger deal than just federal oversight. This is about whether adults will step up to prevent the bending of rules that allow democracies to become full on dictatorships. And I am not encouraged by recent history.
5. For everyone else, please: don’t let this go. Don’t let this move out in the next news cycle. This is a big deal. And what’s at stake is one of the markers between civil society and something less than that.
