as ive stated here before, many things in museums, historical artifacts or works of art, are fake. many things encoded into the art history and civilizational timeline are fake or misattributed. even recent things. prominent guy who ran the met museum in nyc said this: 
even things that are obvious in retrospect like the laocoon not being from antiquity are just brushed under the rug and never addressed. lots of cyclatic art is fake. how do u date a piece of stone. even if they scan a painting + it has new materials they just say it was restored
shut up PHD michelangelo obviously made the laocoon based on pliny the elders description of it and then they buried it and pretended it was ancient you are a nerd who has never sculpted anything
