I think the very most important thing to do is defeat Republicans in 2020, which is why, with plenty of other options remaining, I have opted to support a guy who served as a Republican mayor, backed Republicans in the last elections, and was a Republican until October 2018.
Here's an opinion based solely on data sourced from Bloomberg ads.
There is no reason to believe that Bloomberg is the only candidate who can beat Trump, and ample reason to believe that ANY of the candidates can beat Trump.

In fact I consider Bloomberg less likely than most of them to beat Trump.
One of the biggest hurdles Dems have is the perception there's no difference between the parties.

(Listen: I'm not saying there's no difference. I'll mute you if you yell at me about this.)

I'm saying the PERCEPTION is a significant hurdle.

Bloomberg is WAY vulnerable there.
He's vulnerable there because ... HE IS A REPUBLICAN, GUYS.

I think Bloomberg represents a far more significant attempt to split the Democratic party than any other candidate.

ANY other candidate. By far.

Something for you party unity folks to think about.
Bloomberg's not running for you and me.

I honestly don't believe he cares about Trump.

He's running because a pro-billionaire versus a pro-billionaire is a contest in which no losing scenarios exist for billionaires, and if you don't see that my god I just don't even know.
The leaps people make if you make these points are pretty impressive.
No, I don’t think voters should stay home.

I simply wonder why, if the most important thing to you is defeating the authoritarian billionaire Republican—with many other options remaining—you’d nevertheless throw your support to a different authoritarian billionaire Republican.
I’m very glad you would support the BETTER authoritarian billionaire Republican; I just would like to do far better before it comes to that, and doing far better is very much an option.

That’s all.
