1) A thoughtful progressive/liberal is not a defender of "big government". We defend public spending as investment on *predistributive* areas such as infra-structure, education and health. There's a lot of public spending that can and must be cut, such as mass incarceration, =>
2) =>... contracts with Private Military Companies, unnecessary spending with executive branch occupants and last but not least...
3) =>... the trillionaire, ineffective, harmful, racist and also criminal, given the "deals" with Transnational Criminal Organizations, *War on Drugs*.
4) We are not against control on public spending. In fact, we advocate dramatic cuts on public spending on items that do not feed back into a healthy market economy.
5) As for the sliding scale income tax, it should be obvious. It's not about taxing corporate investment, which generates many good things for the economy. It's about the difference between an annual income of 1B X 10B. Still a billionaire, you know...
