THREAD: How China blackmailed President of the Czech Senate:

- during 2019, President of the Czech Senate Jaroslav Kubera stated he will travel to Taiwan to support business ties

- he was the second highest Czech constitutional figure
- Chinese government organized massive campaign aganist him, mobilizing their proxies to stop him from going

- 13 January 2020: Chinese Embassy delivered text to the Czech Presidential Office (Czech President Zeman is a loyal Chinese servant),openly blackmailing Czech Republic
- The Chinese government says that if Czech Senate President travels to Taiwan, three specific Czech companies doing business in China "will pay" for it.

- That is new: Chinese government explicitly putting this blackmail into writing:

- This Chinese governmental text was delivered from Czech Presidential Office to late Czech Senate President Kubera who died of heart attack a week after that

- The Chinese blackmail letter was found in his office after his death in late January 2020

- @CzechMFA Foreign Ministry issued a verbal protest by Deputy Minister to the Chinese Ambassador in Prague

- Newly elected Czech Senate President Vystrčil says: "The letter gives a chilling effect, frankly it is an intimidation. A violation of our sovereignty."
