Also, they quote "Bernard" Sanders praising his bill AND Medicare stating: "However, the national health insurance programme Medicare is a 54-year-old, real-world test that's improved HC for seniors" Medicare ISN"T great ins. It's rationed care. BERNIE DOESNT USE MEDICARE
3. You can be certain none of the authors have such substandard insurance as Medicare either. They have gold standard private insurance, as have every other academic & govt official espousing Medicare for All. They laud "Bernard's" bill, which no knowledgeable author has praised.
4. Since none are MDs, they don't know that these other countries have "docs" with BS degrees in medicine, who then become licensed by exams, but lacking the knowledge base of BS in chem/bio THEN Med school in US, then intern, multiple residencies even for family medicine.
5. Not grasping the difference between science intensive training of US MDs or citing widespread shortages in drs, pharmacists, hosp beds, meds, compare apples & oranges. Socialized medicine has long waits to see GPs, & women waiting to get in hospital giving birth in streets.
6.Changes in HOW US medicine's practiced have led to increased costs & needs to be fixed. People don't use ER lacking health ins, but because its open when they aren't working. Urgent care clinics help fix that; Medicare 4 all won't. If it's so great WHY DOESN'T BERNIE USE IT?
7. None of the academics & politicians like Bernard calling for Medicare 4 ALL actually USE IT! Why not? Because it is rationed care, covers NOTHING w/o a fight, & is plagued by bureaucratic inefficiencies. The hypocrisy of the academics & politicians like Bernie is astounding.
8. They try to force health insurance that THEY WON'T USE on everyone else, including hard won union plans and employer based plans. If it's so great WHY DON"T THEY USE IT? @PostOpinions
