I’m so SICK of people claiming health care in Sweden is free.
NO, it’s NOT FREE!

Yes, it’s cheap, but we still have to pay for it at TIME of service
This goes for the poor and the elderly as well.

I can't pick up a prescription right now, cuz, I literally can't afford it.

Granted, the prescriptions I need to pick up, would only cost me about $100, but... if you don't have the money, you don't get prescriptions.

Same goes for Dr's visits, if you don't have the money to pay, you can't see a Dr, that can cost $20 - $40

YES, it is by FAR cheaper than the USA, I get that... but, it's still NOT free.

Hell, in the USA, elderly and poor people can get FREE care, that is NOT the case in Sweden.

WE didn't know at the time, but my Mother In Law, was putting off seeing a Dr for her heart condition and kidneys, cuz she didn't have the money.

She died because of this.

She put off care in Sweden, cuz she could not afford it.

Of course, it is all relative, I get that, and it is crazy expensive in the USA... but, please don't for ONE second think that in Sweden, people also don't ration care, or put off health issues due to money, I know they do.

I am living it RIGHT NOW.

My Mother In law lived it.

So, yes.. I am sitting in Sweden right now, in tears, thinking that if I was in the USA, I would at least be able to get my prescriptions.

This is as, MANY Berners claim that we have it so great in Sweden... cuz, they think EVERYTHING is FREE.
