#Bernie2020 is literally insane & anyone that goes along w/ it's also insane!

Now Bernie wants "free" (paid 4 by middle class TAX INCREASES) child care for EVERYONE, "free" PRE-Kindergarten for EVERYONE, & also 6 MONTHS....

6 MONTHS of paid family leave, sick time & vacation.
So in other words, #Bernie2020 wants to bankrupt EVERYONE and put every business out of business. GTFO!

Can you imagine if every business had to pay everyone for being out of work for 6 MONTHS?
But, this is how he brainwashes people into supporting him....let’s just hope there aren’t THAT many insane people.

Matthew Dmitri Richardson of Fayetteville, Arkansas was arrested for trying to blow up someone's car or truck yesterday at the Pentagon.
A patrol officer for the Pentagon noticed him in the Pentagon parking lot standing next to a vehicle trying to light up a piece of fabric that he put into the gas tank.
The person who owns the car he was trying to blow up is a active duty service member and said he didn't know the suspect.

So there are really two parts to Warren’s Medicare for All financing plan. The first is how she estimates the total cost of M4A. Props to the Warren campaign for being detailed and clear in their assumptions here.
Warren gets a cost estimate in line with current national health spending by assuming deep cuts to physician, hospital, and drug pricing; trillions in savings from payment reforms like bundled care and ACOs, and slower health spending.
That lets her claim an amazing deal: Her plan will “cover every single resident of the U.S. with much more generous coverage and virtually no cost sharing at a total cost just under the amount the U.S. is currently set to spend on health care under our existing system.”

@ewarren 2. Let us suppose that you are a sincere supporter of having what every other advanced country takes for granted, a national and universal coverage system. Is it better for that goal to: A. Define the extraordinarily difficult and sensitive question of how to finance that now?
@ewarren 3. or B. Knowing that flexibility and maneuvering room on financing will be critical to getting something passed, defer questions of financing until a legislative process is underway? And if you answered A., are you i. More than 14 years old or ii. in middle school?

1. On Universal Health Care

I deeply respect advocacy for universal health care. My objection is only to those politicians who do it under false pretenses, and thus make people fight over diversionary nonsense rather than discuss and debate important and substantive issues.
2. Two of the most deceitful shibboleths are: (a) universal health care can be implemented without a massive increase in middle class taxes (an increase which may be justified and should be argued for honestly), and (b) calling it a fundamental right (another falsehood).
3. As for health care being a right, there is no fundamental right to other people's purse or labor. I believe aiming for universal health care is a right thing to do. But not every 'right thing to do' is a right.

How should journalists report on the Republican tax plan? You might think this was obvious: describe the bill as written. But some are saying that this is unfair, because the middle-class tax increases in the legislation won't really happen 1/
As a reminder, the way the bill works is this: tax increases on middle and lower incomes to pay for corporate tax cuts, but a bunch of temporary measures that offset the middle-class hikes for the first few years, then expire 2/
The expiration dates are there for a reason: to keep the deficit impact of the bill in its first decade down, and make it zero in the second decade to bypass the filibuster. So as written, the long run impact is captured by the 2027 effects 3/
