A new PAC was established in Texas on 1/16/2020 called the Legacy 44 PAC.

The PAC has two contributors:
- Alice Walton (Wal-Mart) giving $175,000
- Eric Harslem giving $25,000

On the 8 day before the election reports, the Legacy 44 PAC has already pushed out $152k
- $74.3k to Anna Eastman
- $40.9k to Alex Dominguez
- $35k to Harold Dutton
- $2.5k to Abraham Padron

If Charter Schools want to really be "public schools", they need to fall under all the same rules and requirements as public schools. Otherwise, its preferred treatment. But that isn't why Alice is giving so much money. Gotta think the goal is even more preferred treatment. #txed

When Alice Walton and her Wal-Mart fortune decides our public schools aren't up to snuff, and starts doling out money to candidates on both sides of the aisle for Charters, we know those who advocate for public schools are in for a real fight this session. Pay attention. #txed
