1. I have a bunch of great policy ideas that would be utterly unpopular in an electoral platform because the so glorified "masses" are conservative (existentially conservative). Examples:

2. The end of the war on drugs, legalization of all drugs and abolishing the prescription requirement to purchase medication.

3. ... parallel educational, community and health policies and .. why bother.

4. Compensatory refugee hospitality by all countries that interfered in other countries, the USA topping the list: open arms and hospitality to all immigration applicants from countries where the USA promoted wars or Coups. That's A LOT of countries.

5. Shutting down Private Military Companies and making them illegal. The military may hire individual citizens for expertise - NEVER a military company. That's a significant part of the world's capital. I think it will never be done - too bad: they hold us all hostages.

6. Abolishing and making illegal Private Prisons.

7. That plus all the redistributive and predistributive economic policies to decrease economic inequality.

8. Apart from #7, nothing can even be in the public conversation.

Moral of the story: a good idea is not necessarily a good item in a political platform, especially if it's too advanced or controversial.
