CDC 1st says this person had no known exposure to the virus through travel or close contact with a known infected individual, then says the case is the 1st person-to-person transmission of COVID-19 virus.

How do they know it's person to person exposure?

UC Davis Medical Center had a patient transferred to them from an unnamed Northern California hospital 2/19/20 with a suspected viral infection. UC Davis says they requested COVID-19 testing by CDC, but CDC didn't test until 2/23/20.

CDC says person is from Solano County, CA, & contracted Coronavirus "from the community".

"Travis Air Force Base in Solano County accepted travelers from China & Japanese cruise ship for quarantine, but this is the 1st case of 'community transmission'."

USC didn't bother to investigate reports this Dr. performed pelvic examines without gloves. USC discovered over 200 photos of patient's genitals in his office, but didn't investigate that either, they allowed him to continue seeing patients. Photos were found going back to 1989!

The cause of SARS was completely unknown, and it was five months between the illness first appearing and the World Health Organization (WHO) becoming significantly involved, alerting public health authorities around the world.

Transmission risk is partially understood. Person-to-person spread is most likely via respiratory droplets--similar to the spread of influenza. However, airborne precautions are still recommended due to uncertainty.

I don't find this unexpected. We had similar results in the study of SARS. Challenge with the virus after vaccination actually made the resulting disease worse. One theory is this may be due to an overactive immune response due to a cytokine storm.
What I find really troubling is doctors in China had to report this anonymously to avoid communist censorship. We are not getting the whole story here. Keep in mind we don't yet know how many cases this involves and we'll have to wait for more case studies in other countries.
