The dem debate this week included some bad answers to what to do in Syria. POTUS has no sense of what this is.
Yet this matters to us. This realignment matters to us. And we are nowhere — less able and willing, in terms of hard and soft power, to sway outcomes or keep balance.

Our next president had better open their eyes about all the places we need to have better options, and a better understanding of what matters to us, before it blows up in our face and leaves us further isolated and diminished.
