I'm on the Board of an interesting company. Three years ago, it started a new business with nothing but a compelling idea and tons of reputational capital.
I witnessed how it is possible to flesh out a product idea live, while running the business. The structure was built as the need arose. Unsure if this was dumb luck or a strategy. A little bit of both, I think. A lot of hard work was involved.
The experience forever changed my perception of how companies are built.
