Greed, or even easy times often shifts focus to the nice things in life, not the important things in life. Even with all the important stuff going on, the young do tend to get very distracted by fancy things.

to learn to take the role of the financial sector seriously. It is not a gambling house or a cash cow for the entitled few. It is a serious and sacred responsibility that they trample under their feet to help provide for the welfare and the stability of the planet.
They have abused the system far too long. There has to be some times that make people realize more protections need to be given.
But on the other hand, we have to keep eating and working though all of this. No matter how bad it gets, one saying that the Grand Council has is

"Butts in seats". This means that the target protected group is going to keep working, eating, going to school... This is not up for negotiation. This is not going to be allowed to stop. We are the worker bees that help the world rebuild. We cannot do that if we get out of the
habit of doing our regular 9 to 5 (or in my case far earlier than that each day).
