Biden wrote the first climate change bill ever. The Global Climate Protection Act passed and was signed into law in 1987, an amendment to the State Dept appropriation bill.

Remember this when hacks like Sunrise Foundation say ridiculous things like if Biden is elected you can't have children.

2/ He introduced the Community Water Treatment Hazards Reduction Act. It did not pass but would have required stronger protections for facilities that store chlorine & reduced shipment of chlorine by train

In all, Biden introduced 10 Environmental pieces of legislation. To be fair, Bernie introduced 11, though none got a hearing and 7 were after he decided to run for president.

2/ Biden has plans for the environment that are tethered in reality but contrary to Bernie & the Sunrise Movement, he is not in opposition to the Green New Deal. Here he is talking about it

Biden has a stronger history of getting things done for the environment, not just with his bill being the first to address climate change, but also championing the Tropical Forest Conservation Act in 98 which swapped debt for conservation efforts in developing countries.

3/ The environment is one of my most important issues. I chose not to have children as a tween after reading about the effects of overpopulation. I never wavered from that belief. That's why I am #Biden2020 because we need someone who can do more than talk about it
