1/ So here I am, #LiveTweetingthePandemic of #COVID2019 from Italy which as of tomorrow morning is one big, honkin' Red Zone until April 3rd.

If nothing else it resolves a lot of the questions my family had to deal with for the past few days, i.e....
2/ can I move from RED to YELLOW since I was right on the border of the RED but we had things to do in the YELLOW? Now it's all RED so we're all free to move around where we like, except we're asked to do that ONLY if it's really necessary.

How does this all work?
3/ The main rule is just stay at home. If you need to go out for some reason (work, need, health, traveling home) there is a form you can download and fill out that you carry with you, or that you fill out when the police stops you and they give you the form.
4/ People who have tested positive or quarantined cannot leave their homes.

Basically it looks like a lot of good faith and common sense at the local level which will (I think) probably be backed up by more restrictive actions at train stations and airports.
5/ The other restrictions from the past few days remain. Schools closed (both my kids are now doing tele-classes every morning), museums closed, ski resorts closed, cafes and restaurants close at 6 pm with 1 m separation of people, markets closed on weekends.
6/ I am confident that this will have the hoped-for results, but the fact remains that surrounding countries are still in early stages and will peak in 3-5 weeks when Italy has gone through the worst. What then? Restrictions on entry from those countries?

How does this end? /end
