If you let your kids use Scratch, be aware there are LGBT groups on there encouraging kids to explore their sexual orientation.
Scratch is a coding program and community site targeted at 8-16-year-olds, but any age can access it.
Despite targeting kids, the site has no rules against discussing sex but simply says all orientations and gender identities are welcome.
We discovered this the hard way as an internet rando told our 11-year-old he was "abrosexual" and shifts from pansexual to homosexual to bisexual.
These conversations are much creepier if you realize one of these people could be 8 and the other could be in their teens or an adult.
I'm really not one of those screeching parents. I roll my eyes whenever I see those posts about how PREDATORS ARE TALKING TO YOUR KIDS ON FORTNITE. And I take responsibility for being lax on our kids when it came to this site.
But billing a site as for kids and then allowing all ages to join and casually chat about sexuality seems like, ya know, a bad idea, @MIT.
