Just to give some perspective to the fucking pricks mentioned above:
We have 925,000 staffed hospital beds in the entire United States.
One average, 67% are already occupied.
That leaves roughly 300,000 beds, or 6 football games attendance.

And here is why I am pissed off in this thread:
I have existing lung issues, it has been managed for decades. However, there are times when things get complicated. when they do, I usually have 20-30 min to get my ass to a hospital and get care or....

Now some of this same pricks mentioned in this thread are @ me. FINE. I ll give you one more point. When you are not feeling well for 1-2 weeks because you just had to go lift, at rush hour, at a crowded gym, and washing hands is bullshit... you will miss work, others will too...
The company you work for will earn less, and likely cut down on some services temporarily, may even need to go to the lending market for some temporary cash to get by. Now imagine thousands of small businesses doing the same... then follow the cycle. Not pretty at all.
All of this while exposing the same people who are to take care of you: all the medical staff. Take into account just 10% of nurses and doctors out because pricks got them sick.

70,000 ventilators in the us. About 5,000 or so offline at any given moment for maintenance/repairs. Half are already being used to keep non covid patients alive. Another 10,000 for surgeries. No matter how you do your math, we are short.

Not to mention playing ventilator roulette because COVID tends to spread in concentrated hotspots, while the same damn mechanical ventilators are spread out... I am going to stop, getting too salty. I ll see myself out
