Thread: 2/7 Many non-food shops (nearly all) are closed. Some shops/bars/restaurants serving food/drinks were open (until 6pm) but all serving staff were wearing masks and customers were respecting the one metre apart rule.
Thread: 3/7 I passed the 3 main supermarkets in the area and outside each of them was a queue of at least 20 people, all one metre apart, apparently waiting patiently for their turn to go in.
Thread: 4/7 As you go along the pavement and someone approaches there is a kind of automatic slalom dance to ensure that you pass each other with the required one metre distance, usually with a mutual slightly uncomfortable smile because it IS a bit weird after all!
Thread: 5/7 There were more police cars doing the rounds than usual, some of the policemen with masks too, and there was a police helicopter hovering about for the whole hour I was out.
Thread: 6/7 The only place there wasn't a big queue was the Enoteca so I returned later to buy some wine. When I got home I wiped the bottles down with bleach. If someone had told me a few days ago I'd be disinfecting wine before opening it I'd have thought they were crazy!
