We have to be honest

The BBC appears to value this hateful attitude towards Muslims & Islam when discussing Islamophobia. They are "both sides"-ing racism.

But that would never be the case for other forms of racism

Shame on the producers for undermining our humanity
Let me be clear- there's a lot of truly outstanding output from BBC (I'm a huge fan - its reporting in many spaces is second to none), including on Muslims.

But this is not the first time this has happened - see Politics Live, Daily Politics etc. - it's a serious problem

On @BBCr4today at 8:30am, I discussed Trevor Phillips' ongoing unfounded claims about Muslims that not only align with far-right Islamophobes but are used by far-right Islamophobes to justify their divisive hatefulness and targeting of Muslims.
Trevor Phillips publicly states that the placing of a Christian girl into Muslim foster care is "akin to child abuse".

He has not apologised for this article.

This is because his assumptions are wrong, his ideas sometimes echo narratives of the far-right & he says things that are just plainly untrue

1/ I fight #antisemitism on a daily basis however,for the 1st time,a campaigner against antisemitism blocked me on Twitter. I was accused of not having "accepted that Pamela Geller is a propagator of anti-Muslim hate" and referred to me as someone who "denies and defends hatred".
2/ Claims about Pamela Geller "Denying genocide" and that "Geller denies the truth of the Bosnian genocide" were also made (after I had been blocked).
I have since conducted some research and this thread offers a response including some questions to such accusations and claims.

Who told the BBC? (I notice that John Redwood seemed pleased to see Rogers go.) On 3 January 2017, Rogers resigned. Was he forced? What on earth had Rogers done? He had told Ministers, CONFIDENTIALLY, that a UK-EU trade deal might take 10 years to materialise.(Btw, he was right.)
Ministers insisted a deal could be done within 2 years. Well, they certainly got that wrong! Nicholas MacPherson, Civil Servant Mandarin, now a Crossbench Peer, said at the time [Rogers'] departure marked a "wilful" and "total destruction" of EU expertise within Whitehall.
