In March 2017 Elliott Broidy sent George Nader a proposed $12.7 million campaign against Qatar and the Muslim Brotherhood. Broidy referred in an email to secretive anti-Muslim group Secure America Now whose largest funder is Robert Mercer

Broidy urged Trump to fire Tillerson in part related to Qatar

Robert Mercer's Cambridge Analytica affiliate SCL Social was paid $330,000 for anti-Qatar social media campaign

Media outlets should send health, medical, science experts to WH press briefings - they may be sending questions behind-the-scenes, but experts should be in the room who can pivot on the spot, ask follow-up questions & require responses from WH experts instead of Trump winging it
Cable news has this same problem, so much coverage is general news hosts / pundits weighing in on the pandemic, with a few, but not enough spots given to real experts, and interviews with experts are mostly too short and don't allow in-depth discussion or analysis
Imagine the balancing act Dr. Fauci and other experts in the WH need to navigate now to do their jobs and be informative without offending Trump's ego and risk being sidelined, which I'm sure is a real risk (to them and the country)

When Trump sycophants defend him reporters should go off topic, draw attention to his authoritarian behavior & ask:

Trump got things wrong, it's on tape, why won't you acknowledge it?

Are you afraid to publicly disagree with him? Or admit a mistake was made? Provide an example
News hosts should push back harder to call out the cowardly behavior of guests who lie on behalf of Trump (better yet, don't have them as guests)

And in press conferences, reporters should back each other up and keep re-asking unanswered questions

3+ years into this presidency and so many in the media continue to fail at covering Trump - there are so many similar suggestions from 2016 (I probably made a few of them then myself). Sigh.
