I looked through every one of the responses. Not one overtly stands behind UCP.

Much disdain for cutting healthcare and hanging Albertans out to dry while UCP works to fill the pockets of their funders and wealthy friends.
@MichaelSolberg you might want to let @jkenney know he took his cuts and ideology a bit too far this time.

I noticed today he put Coronavirus first in his list of priorities during his announcement.
It didn’t work. Kenney’s primacy placement of the real existential crisis was overshadowed by his enthusiasm for saving the economy. He can’t hide his desire to focus on helping those who donate to his agenda; to turn Alberta into a dystopian libertarian hell hole.
It didn’t help that a cacophony of Issues Management personnel continued to make the argument that we must tame the excesses of physicians and hack their salaries at the times we need them the most, this past week.
@shandro was so heartfelt and entirely focussed on demonstrating his angst for the coronavirus crisis and his management of a strong and pointed response to protect the public. Mere hours after he tweeted his reminder of why it was “legal” to rip up physicians contract.
Your party didn’t wait long enough to start devastating attacks on several segments of the Alberta population. Then it gave $4.7B away to corporations to boost the corporate bottom line.

The electorate remembers. No compassion and broken trust doesn’t lead to rallying support.
It leads to anger and frustration. Which is about all you see as commentary on your tweet.

But the kick in the head was doubling down on cuts to healthcare on the eve of a deadly pandemic. Focussing on saving corporations & the oil industry, not the 3.7 million other residents.
Every one of those oil workers have family, friends & themselves to consider when weighing the UCP response to the COVid-19 pandemic.

Some are seniors. UCPs favourite loyal voter base. They don’t take kindly to your sacrifice of their healthcare when they are most at risk.
I imagine UCP has been reminded quite bluntly by that voter base that they are not willing to bear the brunt of this pandemic’s death rate to aid your party in achieving their agenda of privatization of healthcare.

Oops! You let the cat out of the bag.
They weren’t supposed to figure out UCPs callous disregard for their life before the transition to private healthcare. I’m betting a whole bunch are seriously reconsidering their cult like support for the Dominionist party & its agenda.
Any hope of turning Alberta into a prosperity machine anytime soon for those invested in O&G is gone. This pandemic will be brutal to the Canadian economy. Most especially in Alberta. Your buddies Putin & MbZ are taking care of that.
Xi is patiently waiting for the US to collapse. Then he gets cheap energy. Cheaper than Saudi’s and Russia are willing to go. But there is no profit in oil sands when the ppb is so low. Oh yeah, except for the refiners stateside.
You’ve cooked your own goose. In a couple weeks when Alberta healthcare is overwhelmed, tar & feathers are going to look friendly.

Some of us know what’s about to happen. UCP has been avoiding testing those who’ve returned from the US. There is far more COVid-19 than reported.
When it explodes, as the quickly rising confirmed cases indicate, all hell is going to break loose.

One thing about Albertans. They have a long memory. We still haven’t let the abandonment during the Great Depression go.
It will be a frosty day in hell before UCP is forgiven for what’s about to be unleashed.

Asking Albertans to rally behind UCP leadership is just a tad too far over the line.

Your trial balloon to gauge support clearly indicates you have none. You’ve been ratioed.
Feigned humility and concern after the brutal cuts to provincial healthcare and doubling down until March 11, 2020 was too far.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it. The avoidable devastation will all land on UCP ideologues shoulders.

Right where it belongs.
That is the only positive that will emerge in the next week. Because it’s only going to get worse from here.

And those of us with an axe to grind because you put our lives in danger will continue to remind everyone else who is responsible for this outcome.

UCP.
In addition to the above information, Rachel Notley lays out the current situation in this video.

Kenney wants to immediately pass the budget he proposed 3 weeks ago, that includes more drastic cuts to healthcare.

We must protest now!
