This is emblematic of how profoundly broken the political culture of the GOP is. Trump is merely a symptom of the party’s almost complete detachment from reality and it’s abandonment of the ideal of mature, responsible leadership. 
At least the doofus had enough sense to delete the tweet.
Gov. DeWine of Ohio and Hogan of MD, also Republicans, have stood out from the GOP clown show. The fact that their basic competence seems noteworthy, however, is not a good sign.
