Many foundations, like @nesta_uk, are writing to their grant holders to reassure and offer support
.@phf_uk is offering to adjust reporting requirements and/or suspend them
.@esmeefairbairn is offering flexibility with payment and reporting dates and grants plus support
.@wellcometrust is offering scientific expertise and funding to combat the spread of the virus
.@UKCF_tweets is working to coordinate its network of 46 place-based, locally expert and connected funders working across the UK
.@TNLComFund and others have launched a Community Action Response to Covid19 aimed at supporting vulnerable and isolated people
.@ace_national has announced a wide range of measures including advance grant payments, and refocusing grants programmes on support for artists and freelancers who have lost income
As well as signing the funder commitment (see top of thread) @CityBridgeTrust is helping to promote a survey from @londonplus18 to assess impact on London’s civil society
.@WestonFdn is offering flexibility to grantees including visits by video link where helpful
.@AlexFerry_UK has also signed the funder commitment and is highlighting the impact of Covid-19 on workers and the workforce
Members of @DafneHQ - the European philanthropy association network (including @ACFoundations) - are meeting this morning to coordinate responses and learn from the Italian foundation association's work in recent weeks
.@CFNIreland has launched a Coronavirus Community Fund for constituted organisations based in Northern Ireland to offer emergency funding to deal with emerging issues in the community, affecting older people aged 50 and over

A further group of funders have signed the Funder Statement on Covid-19, now totalling more than 80 across the UK #Covid19Foundations

In Scotland @CorraScot has announced a package of measures to support grantees, including continuing to pay grants that contribute to someone’s salary, even if that person is unable to deliver their role due to the impact of Coronavirus #Covid19Foundations corra.scot/news/corra-fou…
.@blagravetrust has written to its grant holders to offer reassurance, support and flexibility in how funding already awarded may be used and adapted to meet emerging needs
.@jrf_uk is focusing its #Covid19Foundations efforts on supporting people on low incomes, and by working closely with people with direct experience of poverty to listen to their concerns and be the best possible ally over the coming weeks and months

“Grant-makers need to rethink how we deal with applications in our pipelines and review our processes and programmes”

William Grant Foundation has converted all existing revenue grants to unrestricted for the current year

Among a range of supportive measures @LBFEW tells existing grantees:

“If you would like to change the focus of your grant so you can respond to the impact of the coronavirus crisis on your service users, we can support you to do this” #Covid19Foundations
