EDITORIAL: "TRAFFIC LIGHTS for March 15, 2020"

GREEN LIGHT to @GameStop, of all companies, for playing an important role into that most desirable of things right now: a cure for the coronavirus. This had the makings of a RED LIGHT because the video game store chain was not known for its medical expertise up until this point.
However, @Reggie Fils-Aimé, who recently joined the firm after a thirteen-year tenure at @NintendoAmerica, said in a letter to GameStop customers that his company had "assembled a COVID-19 taskforce dedicated solely to this issue . . . "
". . . and [has] instructed our associates to follow the procedures and guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help stem the spread of COVID-19." He also told the @NYDailyNews that it has isolated the virus . . .
. . . in an effort to eventually develop a vaccine for the pandemic. It should come as an unexpected, surprising refreshment to see that @GameStop is using its corporate standing to heal an ailing world at such a critical time.
RED LIGHT to President Trump for once again being as selfish about the coronavirus as GameStop has shown itself to be surprisingly selfless. The @WeltamSonntag reported today that he demanded scientists at a company named @CureVacAG, who are developing a coronavirus vaccine . . .
. . . to move their research to the United States on an exclusive basis. The report quoted a person saying that about him who represents the German Health Ministry, who also noted that the President wants the vaccine to only be available in the U.S. welt.de/wirtschaft/vid…
GREEN LIGHT to the German government. The same report stated that Angela Merkel's government has attempted to convince the same CureVac scientists to stay in Germany, something that it very much should be doing. The coronavirus is of concern to everyone around the world . . .
. . . and a vaccine for the coronavirus should be made available to everyone around the world as well.
GREEN LIGHT to those who have retweeted and liked an editorial I had written about how a calm, peaceful man like Stephen Hillenburg has been used as a violent weapon against @Nickelodeon by a select group of #SpongeBob fans.
I wrote that editorial last June in response to his usage as such a weapon against the development of #KampKoral, a spinoff of #SpongeBob, but some have liked and retweeted it now because of him being used as a weapon again . . .
. . . this time against an episode in which the Krusty Krab gets quarantined. I find it amazing that everything I said in that thread remains fresh and relevant in the minds of a lot of people nine months after I had written and posted it, as well it should.
