The industry just recently launched a Connecticut campaign, Connecticut’s Health Care Future, to defeat another state public option plan, which cleared its first legislative hurdle last week. They’ve started running Facebook ads and registered two lobbying firms 👇. (3/5) 
It looks like their front group reserved similar websites in other states, too. For example - newyorkshealthcarefuture.org and californiashealthcarefuture.org. So anytime another state starts seriously weighing reforms, the industry is ready to swoop in. (4/5)
While this is disturbing, it should not be surprising. The health care industry will fight any threat to its profits with force and gobs of cash, even in the midst of a global pandemic. They cannot be bargained with. And they must be defeated. (5/5)
