ℹ️ Here's what we KNOW:
🔸Governor Mike DeWine wants to move Ohio's Primary Election date from March 17 (tomorrow) to June 2nd due to #Coronavirus.
🔸SO a group of high-risk #Ohio voters filed a lawsuit with the Franklin County Common Pleas Court to try and move the election.
❗️There are also people opposing the June 2nd date, saying Ohio should only do vote-by-mail. No in-person Election Day.
🚨🚨 BUT it's likely not over.
❗️There could be appeals. The #Ohio Supreme Court may need to get involved.
Right now, #Ohio's election is still set for tomorrow.
But hundreds of poll workers don't think they have to show up.
&Who knows how many voters likely think it's canceled.
We just have to....wait.
But now we have poll workers receiving emails telling them #Ohio's election has been postponed due to #coronavirus.
Currently, the election is still tomorrow.
Legally, as of 9:33 pm EST the night before the election, #Ohio's primary election is still on.
@OHdeptofhealth Director signed an order closing the physical polling locations, which I think she can do (note: not a lawyer).
But. This is happening. So you never know.
Argument appears to be that Dr. Acton can close the physical polling location buildings. Which, in effect, postpones (cancels??) voting.
It's also looking like it'll be raining lawyers tomorrow.
It still APPEARS the #OhioPrimary (originally scheduled for today 3/17) has been POSTPONED....
But a lawsuit has been filed & the #Ohio Supreme Court just ordered the state to respond by 1:30 am tonight. (5 hours before polls would need to open)
The state responded quickly. Not sure what happens next. A 3:00 am ruling?
(Regular reminder that I'm not a lawyer)

🚨🚨🚨🚨This APPEARS to mean that #Ohio's primary election, originally scheduled for today (Tuesday, 3/17), has been POSTPONED.
(But I'd check back in the morning to be sure) #OhioPrimary
