Winthrop University in South Carolina asked two questions across 11 states.

Q1: Do whites enjoy special "privileges" in American society?

Q2: Do non-whites face "barriers"?

When asked about white "privilege" only 50% of whites agreed they have it, and only 36% of the most conservative whites agreed.

But when asked about nonwhite "barriers," 71% of whites agreed they exist, as did 55% of the most conservative whites
