A couple of things make me uneasy. Will Kevin find a need to use AIMCo pension money to prop up industries that have been hurt? I hope by economic recovery they mean something larger than the oil and gas sector. #ABleg
Given the people on the panel it might only focus on bailing out businesses and not displaced workers trying to pay rent. Think of what happened during the financial crisis. I would point out that this government has no control over commodity prices.

Please refer @nateglubish to the Mackinnon report. Report commissioned, results presented entirely publicly before the budget. Could have done the same thing with ATRF. Or, you could have hired @Aon_plc to do the same thing confidentially. #AbLeg #ABEd

I am posting this document because Travis and Athana (and MacKinnon too) seem entirely unfamiliar with the pre-1992 unfunded liability. They have said some pretty crazy stuff.

In other news, I am happy to report that Kevin has been appointed to @jkenney's economic recovery panel. Despite impressions that I may have given you he is a pretty smart guy. Not so for some of the other people on the panel. #ABLeg
I would opine that it might be a bit early strike such a panel as we have not reached the bottom of the current decline. The economy is still contracting by the day. And, as @AB_MD_WarRoom, points out so clearly, Shandy is doing his best to cause further economic contraction. #FU

Right now they're talking about making UCP nomination contests "impartial and fair." Good goal, say "No" speakers, but the resolution is too vague. "Yes" speaker says they looked at the media reports from last election. They didn't look good. As media person: can confirm. #ableg

I see the UCP is testing new messaging to attempt to deflect attention from the cost of their short-sighted decision to halt ongoing construction of the Edm Clinical Lab Hub.

To be clear - this was about a carefully considered plan to improve patient care in Alberta. #ableg
Lab infrastructure serving #yeg & northern AB has long been in need of expansion & investment & is now nearing the edge of its capacity.

And it's not a question of simply buying some new equipment, though that's important. #ableg
Current labs lack the space & appropriate infrastructure (HVAC, IT, etc.) to house it. Staff are running between different floors & buildings to deliver samples.

I toured the labs at Grey Nuns & UofA recently, spoke w/ staff & saw it first-hand. Has the Minister? #ableg
