There were 3 boats that came and we missed in Nigeria as far as containing this virus is concerned.

Boat ⛵️ 1 - Zero Infection. This ensures that there’s little/no infection in Nigeria at all. How do you achieve this? Close your doors 🚪 early. Uganda entered this boat!

Considering that we have no major FDIs coming in and the economic impact of a major outbreak far outweighs that of early door closure, you close. People will accuse you, yes. But better to be accused of being too scared, than going to a machine gun fight with a knife.

Boat ⛵️ 2 - Ok you let the first boat go because you think you’re prepared and all of a sudden, the unexpected begins. Boat 2 allows you do what Canada did. Doors are open for a period, to ONLY citizens in, but they will all be taken straight for COMPULSORY quarantine. Then shut!

We take this boat further, by insuring a puplic statement that if you’re a Nigerian abroad, you know our condition o, we don’t have money. So when you arrive, we will take you straight from the tarmac and to a nice isolated hotel for 14 days; at your own cost. Stay abroad or come

You see the issue here is that, we’ve been flexing muscles like China, US, UK, Italy. Those countries will stop at nothing to ensure they fight this thing. They’ll throw money, manpower and Kitchen sink at Corona. We have very little to throw. It’s called being pragmatic.

The moment you allow flights to come into Nigeria, even until yesterday, and allowed those people to go home; knowing where they’re coming from, you’ve done damages, to innocent people who have never even been to the airport. Now we need to see what boat 3 brings.

Boat 3 - State of Emergency! Hec, Chief of Staff and a Governor are positive, and there was FEC meeting last week. Just assume the worst case scenario. Declare a state of emergency and we do the following: 1. Lock Lagos down, to avoid it becoming a Wuham, New York or Lombardy

If Lagos becomes an Epicenter of COVID-19, and spreads to other states like it’s done in the US, it’ll be catastrophic. There are concerns about aids to the most vulnerable, a few of us are working on how to get aids to people. Will share more on this later. Lock down, stay home!

2. Because we Nigerians could be stubborn, we need the military NOW! I’ll never ask for the military to come out of baracks, unless there’s an external enemy. Well, hello, Coronavirus is an external enemy. Once lagosians see tanks at Oshodi, Balogun, Ketu, etc, they’ll conform!

3. Stop ALL inter-states travels by land, air or water NOW; for at least the next 14 - 21 days. Every should stay at town, and city.

4. Ramp up tracing, testing and treatment, which @NCDCgov is already doing good job of and Lagos state Gov @jidesanwoolu has been on top of.

This last Boat ⛵️ is the only we have now. Once again, look at this graph, decide which path we want to take. US, Italy, UK? Or Singapore or Hongkong. For now, I’ll continue to work privately with willing skies to see how we can help. And continue to pray! May God see us through.
