If there was any doubt, the reason he wants everyone back to work is because he thinks it will help his reelection.
He obviously doesn't think that a high death toll from a virus will hurt him.
So he wants people back to work and dying so he can get elected.

It's definitely mind-blowing. This is particularly true because the people who are going to listen to him and crowd into churches will be the communities that support him.

. . . are doing their part to make shopping safe. The clerks make sure the lines are spread out. No touching credit card machines. We wear gloves (I don't care if it looks silly), wash when we leave, and get rid of packaging.

For me it has echoes of Sarah Palin's "real Americans" who were rural or small town, and white.
I guess now "real" Americans will risk their lives for Trump's absurd plan for how to get him reelected.
