Coronavirus is the utmost fear that human race needs to overcome. No matter how much time we take to win this battle, I have an apprehension and can predict with certainty that anarchy will spread not only in India but in many countries
Even if this disease is contained within a few months’ time worldwide, the wheel won’t start rolling again immediately. Jobs will be lost. With total shutdown almost everywhere in the world, production of goods has stopped
Soil can’t produce grain on its own, machines can’t produce goods without raw material and men. No matter if FMCG companies are allowed to operate, manufacturers won’t be able to manufacture anything without raw material and men
The existing stock of goods remains limited, perishable goods would be first to disappear & then other essentials. Your money is of no use if you can’t buy things due to non availability. Demand would rise and supply, shrink resulting in price rise, hoarding & black marketing
Rich would buy for some time until the supply dries completely. Poor and unprivileged who also need these would retort to theft and looting. The economic imbalance is the major cause of anarchy. Nations which have large stocks of essentials would be affected later, others earlier
Hence don’t undermine this pandemic. The longer it stays, deeper would be the extent of disaster. Quicker we recover, sooner would the wounds be healed
