A Prayer For Healing (Thread)

Together In Prayer - Community Du’aa 3/27/2020
Ya Allah, Ya Rahman, Ya Arham Ar-Rahimeen, Most Merciful of Those Who Show Mercy. We turn to You on this evening from various parts of this world, our bodies physically separate yet our hearts spiritually connected through our love for each other and for You.
Shower upon us all Your Infinite Mercy and grant all of us only the best in this world and the best in the next.
So many people have felt direct impact from the pandemic caused by the coronavirus. Guide the footsteps of all those afflicted by this illness and deepen us in our trust, love, and care for them and each other so that we might come with the best of ourselves to this prayer.
Answer each of our prayers and grant us better than what we asked of You.

We ask for each for all those who are struggling in these days.

For all expecting mothers who will be going through child birth without any family member support due to visitor restrictions.
For all doctors, nurses, and hospital staff that are every day on the frontlines in fighting this illness and putting themselves at risk.

For all MTA employees, emergency workers, grocery store staff, and every essential employee who is not able to maintain isolation.
For all those who are and will face financial hardship and difficulty and not sure when they will return to work in the coming months ahead.

For all those who have loved ones who are ill and unable to visit them.
For all those who have loved ones who have passed away and were unable to pray over them.

For all those who are facing any type of difficulty or distress at this time, send upon them and all of us Your Divine Peace, ya Salaam.
Send them only those who will be their helpers and supporters and protect them from any further affliction, anxiety or anguish.

Open their hearts to receive all of the love that we are sending them on this day and envelop them in your Divine Love, ya Wadud.
Grant them peace, relax their fears, and remove from them any impediment that keeps them from doing all that they are able to do.
The burdens of life sometimes seem to heavy to bear. The anxiety and anguish that sits inside of us feels bigger at times than the world around us. We seem to be surrounded by a darkness that is impenetrable.
Today, we ask you for the sake of our brothers and sisters who need us to be better than our best, to give us courage.

Our struggles are real, but Your Promise is true. Indeed with hardship, there always comes ease.
Remove from our hearts any fears or inhibitions, and replace them with an ever-increasing boldness to live each moment as best as we can.
Make us those who value people over profit.

Make our pursuits, pursuits rooted in love, motivated by an unconditional compassion, and manifest in acts of mercy intended to achieve nothing other than a common good.
And let us never be those who a hope of gaining some part of this world or a fear of losing some aspect of it, causes us to deny the rights of others or not share from what we have at a time when so many around us have nothing.
We ask that You fill every home in this world with real blessings and unbounded barakah. Watch over those who have no one to watch over them but You, and let only goodness enter through their doors.
In these days of social distancing, make every house of every person of every place a home that is built upon taqwa, true mindfulness and consciousness —
a place where hurts are healed with kindness and compassion, a place where hearts are sealed with forgiveness and understanding, and a place where emotions feel safe when shared with honesty and gentleness.
On this day and every day let laughter echo in every nook and cranny; let joy fill every room; and let the radiance of Your Light, Ya Noor, shine on and through each of us so that we might be a source of illumination for Your Creation.
Let all those who are exhausted find for an immediate means of rest and rejuvenation, safety from every harm, and a peace that surpasses all understanding and comprehension.
Grant any and all of us who are feeling agitation within us places where we can find stillness, revitalization, growth and strength.
Grant us openings and experiences that renew our spirit, replenish our energy, and have us take on this world ready to achieve and grow in ways that we didn’t know we were capable of.
In this moment of reflection we ask for ease for those who find themselves with no homes of their own or places that they reside that have no semblance of care or consideration.
Be they young or old, rich or poor, regardless of their race, their ethnicity, their country of origin, their cultural heritage, their class or creed. For those sleeping under bridges, on park benches, in doorways or bus stations, or on the trains scattered throughout this city.
For those who can only find shelter for the night but must wander in the daytime. For those who have spent their days locked in with their abusers. For families broken by gentrification or on the street because they could not afford any longer to pay their rent.
For those who have no relatives or friends who can take them in or spend time with and their social isolation is plagued by a loneliness that most of us could never imagine. For those who have no place to keep possessions that remind them of who they are.
Make things easy for all of them and grant them and us the best of homes and company in the world beyond this one.

For all those who find themselves ill, make this aliment for them a means of purification in this world and a means of elevation in the next.
Grant each one a complete healing and shifa; each one a quick and easy recovery.

Ya Khaliq, You who have created each one of us and knows us better that we know ourselves, our hearts are heavy but our hope is strong.
We long to hear from You and are asking for Your divine healing for all those who are afflicted. We offer you no promises, no bargains, no deals in exchange. Simply with hearts prostrated to You we unleash our inner most desire.
Grant our loved ones healing and bring it to them soon. Bless all those in sickness, in weakness and in pain. For those who are helpless and who must lie in bed while others go out and in. For those suffering from this debilitating or terminal illness and for their caregivers.
For those who are near the hour of death and in their final struggle: For all those who have the illness that is the coronavirus and those who feel any type of ailment of any kind - emotional , mental, spiritual, physical, we ask that you grant them relief and healing.
Ya Allah, You are with us. Though we cannot see you, we know that you see us and that You are always by our side. You love us more than we could know, and you know each tear that we have cried.
We trust you, guide us and hold us until we are recovered and well, inwardly and outwardly. Relieve us of all pain and free us from any suffering.
Help us to obtain strength for the sake of the weary, hope for those who are discouraged, and joy for each and every one who is downhearted.
Protect us always from hearts that are not humble, tongues that are not wise, and eyes that have forgotten how to cry. Forgive us for our shortcomings and guide and bless us all. Ameen.
