The same people who claim that the rest of the world will suffer more from Brexit than the UK will are now telling us the UK is weathering the coronavirus crisis better than the rest of the world. 🤔 😬 😱
We may have the best health service (the effort it's exerting is superhuman) but it's certainly not led by the best politicians, provided with the best resources, or offered the best funding. All three of the latter are sub-standard, and inadequate for the challenge at hand.
One key problem is that, for decades, Tories have measured the "worth" of a job by the size of the salary it attracts. In their mentality, lower paid roles can't possibly be important.
