"Quietly." So quiet that it got written up in Fox News, whose hosts regularly have private conversations with the President and are frequently patched in to WH meetings. Surely it's a coincidence as well that Bill Shine, former Fox News VP, is an advisor to the Trump campaign.
Interesting that the self-professed billionaire is not spending his own money, but is rather spending money his supporters donated to his campaign, in order to supposedly engage in quiet, secret charity that supposedly does not serve his campaign. Which would be fraudulent, no?
It strikes me they could either
a) spend campaign money on food for hospital workers and avowedly use this as part of their campaign strategy or
b) spend Trump family money on food for hospital workers and keep it quiet.

But campaign money can't be spent for personal charity.
To be clear, buying food from local businesses to help feed exhausted hospital workers is a wonderful gesture. But if you're using someone else's money to do it, you shouldn't get credit, and campaign money is not Trump's money, it's his campaign's money.
Come to think of it, this is the quintessential Trump move--using other people's money to burnish his own image. And carefully planting a story in the press to make it look like he got caught doing something nice that he was hoping to keep a secret. It's PR all the way down.
BTW, this is why it's a good idea to keep a wall of separation between the media and politicians, because even if this is an authentic act of genuine generosity on the part of the Trump campaign, there's no reason for anyone outside his bubble to believe that.
