I am writing this tweet thread to show all of you the seriousness of COVID19 and how our governments are putting everything they have to fight this disease.

Please take me seriously.

I am currently living in a containment area.

If you understand what a containment area is, it is an area that has been sealed (all entry and exits are banned) because there were cases discovered in this neighborhood. There was one case as on day before but today we have 8 cases (all in the same house).

We have to call the @bmcbbsr helpline 1929 for any kind of groceries, milk and other essentials. The health workers have come and taken our details and are surveying every house to get details of everyone living in this area.

PLEASE STAY AT HOME AND STAY SAFE.

The governments are doing this lockdown/total lockdown for your good only. I cannot imagine if the disease lands up in our house. So we are taking every precaution to stay safe.
Please value lives of yours and your loved ones. Don't defy orders because it isn't bravery.

You DON'T want to be in the space me or my family are. It is that we are helpless but the fact that we have followed all guidelines in letter and spirit makes it comforting. Everyone is making a mammoth effort to fight #COVID19. Please know your responsibility as a citizen. (5/n)

Thank you @SujitBisoyiTOI. This video has the exact audience that this thread needs to go to. I hope they learn from what we are learning. It is not bravery to be out on the streets. It can come to ANYONE. The virus does NOT carry caste, religion, region.

MASSIVE UPDATE: The family in my area HAD travel history to Kolkata. Thank GOD it isn't a case of community transmission. Kudos to everyone at @HFWOdisha and EVERY SINGLE PERSON involved in tracing their contacts. Battle half-won. We'll get there. #OdishaFightsCorona #COVID19
