It's weird how there's all these stories about megachurches seeking to flout coronavirus safety rules to hold Easter services, and virtually none of them mention how much revenue Easter services bring in for megachurch pastors
There's this sort of tacit assumption that these pastors are making a political or ideological commitment, without noting that they'll see a huge financial upside to staying open on the best-attended church weekend of the year, just the same as restaurants and bars would
Anyway I guess it's cute how a lot of people still assume churches never do things for commercial reasons
