New since the last change:

#Finland: the region of Ostrobothnia is a risk area.

#France: it is now all of continental France as well as the French. Martinique overseas territory as a risk area.

#Ireland: the Mid-West, South-West, Mid-East, West and Midlands regions are now also considered risk areas.

#Italy: the regions of Campania and Liguria are considered risk areas.

#Croatia: Grad (city) Zagreb and Međimurska counties are now also considered risk areas.

#Malta: the entire country of Malta is considered a risk area.

The federal government has declared the entire #Netherlands, the entire #French border area with Germany and, for the first time, regions in #Italy and #Poland to be risk areas with effect from Saturday.

In addition, #Malta and #Slovakia are put on the risk list as well as individual regions in nine other #EU countries, as the Robert Koch Institute announces on its website.

The Bavarian state government has decided to introduce a corona traffic light regulation for the Free State. Prime Minister Söder announces, among other things, the expansion of the general mask requirement.

According to Söder, the following will apply in Bavaria in the future:

👉 Green = 7-day incidence value <35

The general hygiene rules apply.

👉Yellow = value of the 7-day incidence 35 to <50

There is a curfew from 11 p.m. and there is a ban on selling alcohol at petrol stations. Private or public, up to ten people can celebrate together

The Federal Environment Agency has presented recommendations for the ventilation of schools in the corona pandemic. "To protect yourself from infectious particles, the air should be changed three times per hour.

This means that the room air is completely exchanged for fresh air from outside three times an hour," writes the office. In the cold season of the year, the room should be ventilated every 20 minutes with the windows wide open for 3 to 5 minutes during lessons -

so-called burst ventilation. In addition, there should be ventilation during the entire breaks. The office advises against only opening the door for ventilation, because small aerosols could then spread from one room through the hallway to other classrooms.

At least 37 people tested positive for the coronavirus following a major teenage birthday party in New York State. "Dozens of people from the Sweet 16 party fell ill," said Governor Andrew Cuomo.

"That shows how an event can generate so many cases". More than 80 people took part in the celebration, which was organized by a party organizer on the Long Island peninsula off New York at the end of September.

The number of participants at such events in the region is currently limited to 50 due to corona requirements. More than 270 people had to be quarantined in connection with the party, including numerous young people from nearby schools.
