“Alberta typically has 173 general, adult ICU beds, but the system's capacity was expanded during the pandemic.”

To meet the demand of #COVID19AB resources were shuffled.

Non-covid ICU capacity was as 40 beds *for all of Alberta* in March.

Every time a virus infects a new host there is a small chance for it to mutate. That’s part of why #ZeroCovid policies are so important: to block variants.
