I see many comparing #UkraineCrisis with #Iraq 2003, when the US falsely claimed that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction.
While, I am critical of Biden administration pushing panic button, I believe
this comparison is ludicrously wrong 1/

For a starter:
-Colin Powell’s claim about weapons of mass destruction was unproven.
-In the Ukraine case, satellite images are available for anyone to see.
Putin will not gather 100Ks of troops in winter for fun!

Second:
It is Russia who is threatening #Ukraine, citing security concerns.
The US has made it clear it won’t send troops to Ukraine and has Zero appetite to go into a war.
The only threat Biden administration announced is “sanction”
That is a far cry from the Iraq scenario! 3/

Third:
Say what you like about the Biden administration, but to claim US is plotting or dragging #Russia into confrontation, ignore the simple fact that the West is already suffering as a consequence of panic.
Stocks tumbled, gas price rise.
Neither resemble #Iraq

So in short, don’t let your anti-American prejudice blurs your logic.
The last thing US and West, amidst pandemic, rising inflation, is a war with #Russia
