All #US wars have been cruel, destroying infrastructures, killing civilians (have the guts to call it "Collateral damage"), organising coups and invading countries to change regimes. If #Russia will avoid the "superpower style of war", its military campaign will be costly & long.
NATO didn't help #Turkey in #Syria when downing a Russian Jet for fear of Putin's reaction. No longer the case.
"If the Russians were to strike NATO territory, where materiel is being assembled, that would invoke Article 5 & a complete game-changer." reuters.com/world/us-preps…
#US is waving Article 5 AFTER seeing Russian performance in #Ukraine. If #Russia doesn't put on its "superpower hat", #Finland, #Sweeden and #Giorgia will be next of the 30-NATO countries members.
Therefore the NATO Article 5 is very selective and depends on whether the #US interest to Evoque it or not.
If #Russia allows weapons to transit & doesn't use the US-style, #Ukraine will never agree to sign a deal with Russia and would want to try to take back Crimea and Donbas.
In 2015, Russian FM Sergei Lavrov was insisting on John Kerry to "work together" to end the Syrian war. #Russia doesn't understand that the #US doesn't want a potential partner or competitor. The US wants total dominance. When Russia wakes up to this reality, a change can be made.
Why did the #US reveal to the media a confidential letter from #Russia? Russia sent a note to the US warning that US & NATO shipments of the “most sensitive” weapons systems to Ukraine “adding fuel” to the conflict & cld bring “unpredictable consequences.” washingtonpost.com/national-secur…
What was the #US reaction? @JoeBiden approved an expansion of weapons being provided to Ukraine, an $800 million package.
This shows how the US and NATO look upon #Russia in #Ukraine and what the Russian army has been instructed to fight with one hand tight behind its back.
However, the appointment of General Dvornikov as the leader of the military campaign - who led the war in #Syria - is an indication that the first-weeks-style of the Russian War have being modified to stop the #US and NATO supply of arms to #Ukraine.
When #US Deputy MOD said that "the next level of support to #Ukraine would include intermediate-range missiles capable of striking at airfields within #Russia" and we have already seen more than one attack inside Russia from Ukraine, it is time to recognise the need of a new plan
If #Russia has the intention to reach its goals in #Ukraine and leave quickly after forcing a long-lasting agreement, it won't achieve it by sending a third of the Ukrainian army to do so but, as all military schools teach, 3 to 4 times the Ukrainian forces. Otherwise...

Wrong: Western weapons are not fired from " #Poland#Hungary#Romania#Moldova" but transiting through these countries. They r delivered into #Ukraine. All trucks & wagons have a destination, meaning failure in Russian intel to identify the targets.
#Israel is far from being a superpower, yet, it has bombed #Syria w/ 4200 missiles and air attacks with precision weapons, identifying Syrian warehouses where Iranian weapons r stocked. Saying "difficult to identify weapons supply in #Ukraine" is an insult to Russia's capability
#Russia made serious mistakes in #Ukraine and underestimated the readiness of its opponents (NATO) and the willingness of the Ukrainians to fight back. Peskov said the "losses are significant", meaning it was far from being a diversion tactic. That is the reality.
The Ukrainian leadership is challenging #Russia: Russia intercepted "at least two missiles fired from #Ukraine" over Belgorod. This is another level of Rule of Engagement that #Kyiv is trying to impose, bringing the war to another more critical level.
I believe, following the #US supply of lethal weapons to #Ukraine and #Russia's warning letter to #Washington, many lethal western weapons will find their way very quickly to the black market, mainly the Middle East.
Western lethal weapons confiscated in #Ukraine can fire back against the #US troops. #Iraq and #Syria could be one of the places where the NATO provided weapons to #Ukraine might show up.
It is not to NATO's advantage to escalate. History is full of the boomerang effect.
How I see it from my experience.
NATO is not winning the war for many reasons: 1. The Russian army made many mistakes in undermining the Ukrainian will to fight back 2. Ru army did not offer an adequate air cover to its armoured troops and didn't use the infantry but in Mariupol
3. The Russian army did not have war experience but in Syria using limited infantry and mainly the Air Force. This war was necessary to "clean" the Army and for it to update itself in war tactics and rely heavily on infantry and drones. +
4. Russia expected to be received as "peace keeping forces", indicating the failure of intelligence because the #US was running the show and the war was not going to be a promenade. +
#US population, like most countries around the globe, r suffering from inflation due to US wars and @joebiden admin is releasing $800 million in arms and military equipment so the war in #Ukraine continues. Americans should stand against these decisions.
The #US administration has exhausted all west and central Asia wars (#Syria, #Iraq, #Lybia#Afghanistan), therefore it is intentionally fueling one on European soil.
Now it is Europe's turn and #Ukraine might be only the beginning after @joebiden "convinced" Finald to join NATO.

While President @ZelenskyyUa is busy talking to the South Korean parliament rather than seriously negotiating a ceasefire, It is only a question of time when #Mariupol will fall to #Russia's control, a hugely important city in the south of #Ukraine.

Understand more about the reasons for war in #Ukraine: @ZelenskyyUa is proposing to exchange a Ukrainian citizen with other Ukrainian citizens because he considers those opposing him politically should not live in the country.
We live in a very difficult moment where the #US will try all possible means to defend its exclusive hegemony. It is the beginning of the end of the US's 30 years of total dominance. #China & #Russia r leading the way where there is a place for everybody.
The #EU Commission is drafting proposals for an oil embargo on #Russia, the foreign ministers of #Ireland, #Lithuania and the #Netherlands said at a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, although there was no agreement to ban #Russian crude.
#Australia, #Canada and the #US, who are less reliant on Russian supply than Europe, have already banned Russian oil purchases. EU countries are split, given their higher dependency and the potential for the move to push up already high energy prices in #Europe.
