I almost give up, but I love the lab and the #epilepsy project. Spending 2 years on the project, submitted 2 abstracts, 1 to #SFN, and 1 to #AES. So I called the visa center of #USC, the lady is so nice. She discussed 3 possibilities. Thanks! #fighton proud to be a #Trojan

@USCNIIN Professor suggested me to contact #visa office since our HR team is short staffed right now. I thought if I could get the information before the weekend, I could prepare the documents. 😔

My boss is certainly supportive of my visa in his email. hr in #NIIN sent me 2 emails during the 2 months (the last 2).I am the person who trust others’ words. If someone said others will contract me, I will wait.Until June, no one reply to me, I asked hr for help again. #fighton

I totally understand how excited to get a new job, but the first thing is finishing all the previous work, and then, move on, especially in the same university.

I am kinda relaxed cuz although my EAD card will be expired at 07/10, I don’t need to leave due to #usc policy. I still have time to fix my visa issue. No pay, no medical insurance in the period, but it is fine, at least I don’t need to leave US. Idk if I left, I could come again

Thanks,my friends. My bosses will support me in any sensible plan. So far, the best option is J1, but We aren’t sure I am eligible. Also, I will contact hr for medical insurance extension. I am glad if I could stay in US. I think the key is I should improve myself. #usc #fighton

Lol, laughed into tears that super busy hr @niin #ksom #usc #neurosience #neuroimaging who replied 2 emails to me in the last 3 months, but now sent me 3 emails within 2 days in order to terminate my work. so funny. A mom and a daughter’s life is almost ruined by the mistake.

The 13 years old girl worked so hard to prove that she could be a #stem girl and get the green card on her own. She asked me every day: mom, do you find a new job? If hr refused me directly at April, yes, I might find a new job. But I need to calm her: we are survivors, always.

@PTenigma emailed me that they will advertise a project specialist position last week, and I could apply to. But hr @niin @KeckMedUSC @USC replied it took weeks to process. I feel 99% chance that it will take 10 weeks, after my departure. The hr’s work efficiency varies. #Trojan
