The #IAF however has the unique perspective of operating the top western and the top #Russian of alternate &/or every generation egs Hawker Hunter (credits on pic), #MiG21, #MiG29, #Su30MKI, #Mirage2000 #Harrier
Each fighter brings in with it, performance numbers but also tactics and maintenance regimen and India can tap into #Russian or #British ideas and pick and choose what works the best.
I came across this interesting piece stating that #India doesnt use its largely #Soviet/#Russian origin fleet like their designers. Gone were the spares stocking philosophy of use and throw but a more western approach where spares were stock to support certain availability rates.
This started with MiG-21 and is not a recent thing at that and this is what interests me more. Their tactics were advanced to, per #USAF and other western air forces they have worked with instead of Soviet based ones.
